I just finished my fourth final (the second one this week). I gave a speech (eulogy) on one of the people in my class. She told me later she enjoyed it. I enjoyed the interview. I wish she wasn't so vague...but I'm glad they liked the outcome.
I was much more comfortable in that class. Somehow we had the right mix of 14 people to make the class fun and not strict. It was actually very lighthearted.
I enjoyed one of the speeches given about me. Yes, I know. Conceited...but everybody likes hearing the postive about themselves. I wrote an e-mail to my interviewer about what I hoped would help her write her speech instead of the usual "when and where were you born?" questions. Who cares where I worked when I'm dead? I certainly don't. It's not always the most important thing in a person's life.
I cannot promise that all speech classes will be fun...but it can be changed by attitude. :)
